• Airdrie Home & Lifestyle Show returns this April

One of Airdrie's largest events, the 2024 Airdrie Home and Lifestyle Show, will return next month. The show will take place at Genesis Place on April 12 (10 A.M. - 4 P.M.) and April 13 (10 A.M. - 4 P.M.).

Marilyne Aalhus, Executive Director of the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce, can't wait for the event to take place.

"We host approximately 200 exhibitors at Genesis place, registration is ongoing to be in the show as an exhibitor. So if you have a home-based business, a storefront, or just anyone who wants to showcase your offerings to our community, we encourage you to get involved and be part of the excitement.

If you are interested in being an exhibitor, click HERE. The show completely takes over Genesis Place's main gym, including the soccer field.

Admission is $5 (12 years of age & under are FREE). The first 100 attendees to arrive early each day get in for free, and the first 250 attendees on both days receive a swag bag full of goodies, according to the Chamber. There will be no cash machine on site.

"We are coming on 47 years. It was an ag show in the early days. It's evolved into a home and lifestyle show where you can learn about so many of our local businesses and nonprofits, lots of cool renovation ideas, lots of cool landscaping."

She explained it's a great way to kick off the spring and brainstorm what you want to do for the next few months.

"We always see 1000s of consumers through the door during the weekend."

For the first time this year, they will be hosting a new event at the show called the "Rising Stars Talent Show".

"We're encouraging members of our community and surrounding communities to send us some information about their talent to be entered to win and participate in the rising stars talent show on the main stage at the event, April 12."

Aalhus finished off by saying that trade shows are very important for our community.

"We just love seeing familiar faces, but also a lot of new faces coming out, and it's one of our favorite weekends of the year. It's such a cool way to unite as a community and support local."
