Compensation: $17.00/hour
Location: In-office with some flexibility
Age Requirement: This position is open to youth aged 15–25, in alignment with eligibility requirements under the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive Grant

About the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce
The Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven, volunteer-led organization representing and advocating for businesses across Airdrie and the surrounding region. Since 1973, it has been the collective voice for regional businesses, influencing positive change and championing members’ interests. The Chamber represents over 625 businesses and non-profits, including more than 175 beyond Airdrie’s city limits. Aligned with the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and Canadian Chambers of Commerce, it’s part of Canada’s most unified and influential business network, shaping policies and programs that impact the local business landscape.
Position Overview
The Marketing Assistant will support the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce by assisting with the creation and coordination of marketing and communications initiatives. This role will focus on developing and scheduling social media content, supporting the preparation and distribution of member newsletters, and assisting with promotions and updates for the Chamber Perks app. The successful candidate will help amplify Chamber programs, events, and member benefits while gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and community-based communications within a professional association environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation, scheduling, and posting of content across the Chamber’s social media platforms
- Support the preparation and distribution of regular e-newsletters, including gathering content and formatting
- Assist with updating and promoting offers, businesses, and campaigns within the Chamber Perks App
- Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across digital communications
- Support marketing initiatives related to Chamber events, programs, and member benefits
- Track and organize content calendars and assist with basic reporting on engagement and performance
- Collaborate with staff to collect photos, graphics, and content from members and events
- Provide general marketing and administrative support as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Experience with Canva for basic graphic design and content creation
- Video production and editing experience (short-form social media content such as Reels or TikToks) is considered an asset
- Experience with Constant Contact or other email marketing platforms is considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about digital marketing and content creation
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also contributing as a team player
- Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and processes on the job
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Interest in marketing, communications, or community engagement
