    948 Brewing Company Ltd.

Many Airdrie residents will remember the days where all the phone numbers started with 948 and did not have to dial the area code. 948 represents Airdrie and reflects on how it was and how it has grown today. We look forward to adding our story to Airdrie’s timeline and with our home-town roots, we decided 948 would be the perfect name!

Opening March 14th of 2020 we spent 2 years in a pandemic growing our business and expanding our production to distribute beer across Airdrie and Alberta. Now in our third year we've ramped up production and have begun sending product to Saskatchewan with ambitions for further growth.

  • Airdrie Farmers Market

The AFM went through a major change in 2009. C.K Markets & Events took over and re-vamped how Airdronians saw Farmers Markets. It went from an average of 7 vendors inside a small indoor venue to 35+ vendors outdoors and continued to grow into more than 65 vendors each week and rotating through 150 different small businesses each year. The Airdrie Farmers Market offers free spaces to non-profits to connect with the community, and a platform for local youth entrepreneurs to test their products and build their confidence. Many businesses have used the Airdrie Farmers Market for a stepping stone to success... from jumping from mobile to a brick & mortar shop or launching new products, the AFM has always been there to give that opportunity to reach out to the community. The AFM is a family owned and operated private business that prides itself on honesty, integrity, and seeks out like minded vendors to foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for business's and patrons.

    The Squiggly Pig

The Squiggly Pig opened its doors June 22, 2021. It was born out of necessity to offer artisans and small/home-based businesses a place to sell their creations, artwork, and products.  It is quickly becoming known as a one-stop shop for all your gifting needs.

We are a shabby chic boutique, uniting customers with cottage industry products in a relaxed shopping atmosphere and offering a unique, friendly shopping experience. Open 6 days/week, it offers 3300 sqft of shopping space, showcasing products ranging from handmade crafts, home decor, candles, greeting cards, bath & body, jewelry, clothing, pet supplies, various artwork styles, gemstones, gluten-free foods, specialty foods, to manufacturer's products, and much more.

We are also the Airdrie satellite store for The Home Vintner, supplying products for your wine and beer making needs. The market is locally owned by Bosshog Cassie Bishop and with help from Barnboss Trenna Allain, we invite you to come visit us at The Barnyard.
