    Compensation range: $24.50–$28.50/hr

    About the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce
    The Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven, volunteer-led organization representing and advocating for businesses across Airdrie and the surrounding region. Since 1973, it has been the collective voice for regional businesses, influencing positive change and championing members’ interests. The Chamber represents over 600 businesses and non-profits, including more than 175 beyond Airdrie’s city limits. Aligned with the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and Canadian Chambers of Commerce, it’s part of Canada’s most unified and influential business network, shaping policies and programs that impact the local business landscape.

    Position Overview
    The Regional Engagement Coordinator will support the Chamber’s expansion into Rocky View County, with a focus on Balzac and the surrounding Airdrie area. Working collaboratively with the Chamber team, the coordinator will assist in planning and executing key regional events, build relationships with current and prospective members, and drive membership growth in the county.

    Key Responsibilities
    Event Support & Coordination

    • Assist with the organization and execution of regional initiatives, including but not limited to:
      • Business Leadership Conference
      • Meet Your Chamber
      • Chamber Connections
      • State of the County
      • Political Forums
      • Member-led events such as the CrossIron Mills Stampede Breakfast & Bluegrass Nursery Groundhog Day Celebration
    • Manage event logistics—planning, registration, on-site coordination, and follow-up
    • Represent the Chamber at events, ensuring attendees feel engaged and supported
    Membership Growth & Engagement
    • Drive membership recruitment with an emphasis on Balzac and surrounding Airdrie businesses
    • Foster strong relationships with both existing and prospective members through outreach and personalized engagement
    • Help identify local partnerships and business opportunities to bolster the Chamber’s impact
    Team Collaboration & Administration
    • Work closely with Chamber staff to align engagement activities with strategic objectives
    • Track, measure, and report on event performance, membership engagement, and recruitment efforts
    Qualifications & Skills
    • Event coordination and community engagement experience preferred
    • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills
    • Familiarity with Airdrie and Rocky View County business communities is an asset; strong local business connections in Balzac and the surrounding Airdrie area of Rocky View County are highly recommended
    • Sales skills and experience with business development are considered a strong asset
    • Excellent organizational ability, with attention to detail and multitasking capability
    • Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility to work around event schedules
    • Access to vehicle (business visits in region required)
