Cyber Crime

We are pleased to welcome Daniel De Castro, Cyber Security Manager at MNP.  He is a seasoned IT and security professional with over 20 years of experience.  Daniel specializes in cyber security assessments and penetration testing (ethical hacking).

Daniel holds both a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, where his research covered various aspects of computer security, with particular focus on anti-malware technologies and operating system security.  He has completed Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cyber security training from the US Department of Homeland Security, applying extensive hands-on training on how to protect and secure ICS from cyber attacks.

Daniel has been published and has presented at international conferences and workshops.  He has also been a seasonal instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) teaching a course on malware, incident response and digital forensics.
