DESCRIPTION:BILL 30: AN ACT TO PROTECT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF WORKING ALBERTANS\n\n \n\nThis bill modernizes the Alberta OHS Act to promote and maintain the physical\, psychological and social well-being of workers.  There are six key components: defining ten work site parties\; creating joint worksite health and safety committees\; refusing dangerous work\; implementing health and safety programs\; preventing workplace violence and harassment\; enhancing the appeal process and information sharing.\n\n\n\nPRESENTER: Melanie Neufeld\n\n\n\nShe has been an Alberta OHS Officer for over 10 years.  Born and raised in Alberta\, she was once a fisheries biologist in Fort McMurray until a boating incident on the Athabasca River left her in crutches and passionate about workplace health and safety.
