\nA FEW THINGS TO EXPECT
\nKeynote Speaker:
\nDr. Jody Carrington is a Clinical Psychologist who has spent most of her career talking about the vital importance of connection. Growing up on a farm in rural Alberta\, and after 13 years of post-secondary education\, she took her first job at the Alberta Children'\;s Hospital in Calgary. During her 10 years there Jody learned the most about relationships and the vital importance of connection. Today\, she is back living in a rural setting by Olds\, Alberta\, managing a private practice\, raising a family\, and travelling and speaking around North America about relationships\, connection and her 2019 book\, "\;Kids These Days: A Game Plan For (Re)Connecting With Those We Teach\, Lead &\; Love."\;
\nThe core of everything Jody speaks and writes about comes down to this: we are wired to do hard things. We can do those hard things so much easier when we remember this: we are wired for connection.
