  • Courtney Rose - Rose Gold Piercing & Tattoo

Rose Gold's owner and operator Courtney Rose graduated from George McDougall with a twinkle in her eye and knew immediately she wanted to bring piercing and tattooing to Airdrie. Courtney's studio Rose Gold has been involved heavily with the LGBTQUIA2+ community, and decided to sponsor the first Airdrie Pride. Having an inclusive, safe space in Airdrie is super important and regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or personal views, you'll find safety and comfort at Rose Gold. We carry some of the world's most beautiful handmade pieces and we have been continuously raising the bar for jewellery standards in Airdrie. Our studio features three of the only members of the Association of Professional Piercers in Southern Alberta, and we feature hospital level sterilization and standards. • Roger Foster - Tires On The Run

Tires On The Run is an innovative service, offering the full services of a conventional tire shop with the added convenience of at-home / at-work / roadside service. Started in 2013, Roger & Angela Foster purchased the company in 2016. Roger & Angela live in Airdrie, with their 4 daughters aged 14-22 years old. The business has grown tremendously in the last four years. We are likely expanding to 2 units on the road for this coming fall to meet this increasing demand. Even with two units this fall, we are likely to still have more demand than we can keep up with, but we plan on continuing expanding... We shop and support local, and we donate to local causes. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our many supporters and clients at this time. We love Airdrie!

  • Tara Pickford - Ambition Performing Arts (APA)

Hi, I'm Tara Pickford from Ambition Performing Arts (APA). We are an Airdrie-based Performing Arts School raising tomorrow's leaders through the arts, by offering Dance, Music, and Theatre classes. We start with parented classes at 0 months up to pre-professional. Beginners are our specialty. Parents need quality programming that they can feel good about investing in. In fact, COVID closures showed us that parents value “protected investments”. They want to know that we are able to deliver the value and standard even through closures. With our tech-enabled studios and continued teacher education, we have perfected the delivery of hybrid lessons. Lessons that can be delivered to students in person and/or at home. Our personalized DisDANCE portal allows families to easily attend lessons online live or revisit recordings as their families adjust to their own needs through the pandemic. Inside our Safer Studios™, personal prop bags and thoughtful retooling of our classrooms has created a 0% transmission rate for which we are extremely proud. At APA we focus on applying science to the discipline of learning. We offer curriculum based instruction, and our teaching methods are based upon scientific research of how the body best learns new movements to avoid injury. We value continued learning for our staff to deliver the latest researched methods. We also focus on personal growth. Regardless of whether a child is in our recreational academy, our accelerated learning program, or our competition performance company, our focus is always on personal growth through goal setting and positive acknowledgement of outcomes. We work hard to provide a family-first atmosphere, with a focus on age-appropriate development and happy, healthy training that teaches leadership through the arts. We do this with gold standard business practices and technology. Families are able to choose their level of participation from a variety of commitment options. The magic in this lies in tailor-made schedules and experiences that foster our student’s education in the arts today, as well as creating leaders for tomorrow. We know that less than 5% of our students will go on to become Professional Performers, but 100% of our students will use the life skills they gain throughout their education with Ambition Performing Arts. Simply put: at APA, we are raising tomorrow's leaders through the arts and this is important work. We offer: Dance (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, Musical Theatre, Preschool Dance and Parented), Piano, Voice, Guitars (Bass, Electric, Acoustic), Ukulele and Drama classes.
